Congratulations on the completion of your final mile eastward across Canada ! Ariana & I were in Whistler this past Friday to see the Olympic torch arrive there. We thought about you both ,preparing for your departure this weekend as we walked back to Ariana's parents home after the closing ceremony in Whistler Village
All the best over the coming days at home, as you adjust from your great adventure!! We, all your friends & sisters across Canada, will miss you for now and look forward to your return to Canada down the road .

Hey Susan,

it's so nice of you to write in our diary again. We already miss you, all the crazy folks we meet in Canada and of course Big Bertha. It is so unreal to be back, wake up every morning in a warm apartment and trying to fit in this hectically system again. It was really good to feel so independent and free. But like always, it is only that way, as long as we are only on vacation. As soon as we would stay for good, it would also be the same routine we tried to escape...

Whatever, now we are happy, that we had this great year, met you and the others and promise to come back one day. Or maybe you come and visit us before... ;o)
